Feeling the need to express the depths of their millennial minds. Teens from the Boroughs of Southwark, Lambeth and Hackney battle to win the 2003 London Teenager Poetry SLAM. It turns out the winning poem is in this round, will the teams give up, or rise to the challenge. The bards have a rowdy audience, and there’s reference to reefer, plus they realise political prose won’t win. Nu Heh produced this exciting, lively and inspiring three-part slam in 2003. London pupils from Hackney, Southwark, Lambeth schools and their poet coaches Malika, Mariahadessa, Jacob and Fatimah battled to win the first Inner London Teenager Poetry slam.
